Saving Pages with Embedded Videos on Windows doesn't show up

For whatever reason when my clients use a windows computer and save a page that has embedded videos on them the videos will not show up on the page.

To fix it I just log in from my Mac and resave the page and it fixes it. I don’t change the elements at all.

This has happened with multiple clients on multiple sites with multiple browsers so I am fairly certain it’s a windows issue. It doesn’t seem to be based on what browser they are using. I had them try Chrome, Firefox, and Edge on their PC’s.

On my MAC it works fine on all browsers.

Currently Running X Theme Version 5.1.1 and Cornerstone Version 2.0.6. I found the changes you made after 5.1.1 made it more complicated to edit pages than the previous versions.

Hi,

I’m on windows but could not replicate the issue.

Can you provide us your wordpress admin login in Secure Note and also provide us with a video embed code sample so we can text in our end.

Thanks

Example:

http://illinilandfca.org/camps/champaign-day-camp/hidden/
vs
http://illinilandfca.org/camps/champaign-day-camp/

The weird part is it’s fixed by just resaving from a (my) Mac.

Hi @noahhurst

Could you please recheck the username/password combination you provided? I’ve tried to log in but I couldn’t, it says the password is incorrect.

Thanks.

Got it. I changed it and tested should work now.

Hi there,

I can’t anything, but looks like there is XSS issue when it comes to chrome. Would you mind providing your network admin? I like to install a plugin (transient cleaner) to see if it’s just related to cache. The preview works okay so it should work okay on live page, unless there is cache.

Thanks!

I installed it for you and upgraded the user account to super admin. Let me know if that doesn’t work for you.

Hello @noahhurst,

It appears that you are using an older version of the theme X 5.1.1 and Cornerstone 2.0.6. Please be advised that we have released X 6.0.4 and Cornerstone 3.0.4. It is now available in automatic updates. You can now update to this latest version. This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Please let us know how it goes.

I know updates are available, but I had hoped it wasn’t an issue with that. I really dislike the changes to the theme and the editor so that’s why I hadn’t updated it.

I also had someone who had the issue with a mac yesterday. I will try the updating on the staging environment and see if that fixes it.

Sure do let us know how it goes!
