Sanitiser rejecting fonts

Hi,

On every page of my website Console is flagging up an issue with FontAwesome. The message is:

downloadable font: rejected by sanitizer (font-family: "FontAwesome" style:normal weight:400 stretch:100 src index:0) source: https://use.fontawesome.com/releases/v5.11.2/webfonts/fa-solid-900.eot

Any tips on solving this?

Thank you!

I’ll add a secure note now…

Hi @demonboy,

That could be a false alarm, that is Firefox’s protection against bad or malicious font files. But since the font is coming from an external source we can’t speak about its integrity, but that is more likely a false alarm.

Hi @friech,

Did you log into my website? I notice that W3 Total Cache has been deactivated. Was this something you did?

Hi @demonboy,

I did logged in to your site on your other tickets, but I did not deactivate any plugin.

In this ticket, I did not log in because the admin dashboard has nothing to do with Firefox’s protection.

Thanks,

OK, thanks for the confirmation, @friech. I seem to have developed a caching issue whereby updates are not being reflected on the site. Even with W3 Total Cache disabled, browser cache disabled, working in Incognito and CDN purged. Does X implement any caching?

Hi @demonboy,

Yes, X implements the cache but that is only for the element styling and that should not be a reason behind your mentioned issue.

Thanks for understanding
