Safari rendering ENTIRELY different than Chrome

Pulling my hair out, I’ve installed your theme 14 times… but this one is giving me fits.
On the second row, it should be 1/3 + 2/3, the video should take up the full width for the 2/3rd column.

  1. On Chrome it renders 1/3 by 2/3 yet the video is not using the full space.
  2. On Safari it places 1/3 on one row above the 2/3 column.

I could post new attachments but your Discourse Forum is preventing that since it’s seeing me as a new user. The URL of the page is https://theonefifty.com/the-one-fifty-entrepreneurial-peer-group/

Hi there,

There seems to be a problem with your theme installation and the theme seems to be corrupt. I checked the generated HTML code and the columns should be as you said:

Now the problem is the generated CSS code of the theme is nowhere to found regarding the column system you used. Please kindly follow the general troubleshooting steps below:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  2. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
  3. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  4. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.

Regarding the video fullwidth problem, I checked the front end of the website and see a max-width: 500px in the code:

I am not sure if it is a generated code from the options of the elements you use in the Cornerstone or something that you added to the custom CSS section.

I suggest that you focus on the problem on Chrome first to make everything work then we will tackle the Safari one.

If you still have problems kindly get back to us with the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

Thank you.

Sent a secure note, I’ve removed all plugins and nothing changed. I removed the custom CSS and no luck either so I added that back in.

Hi again,

Thank you for providing the credentials. I checked your setup and I see you’re using Cloudflare’s rocket loader please purge the cache first https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200169246-How-do-I-purge-my-cache- and then deactivate the rocket loader. This may take some time then test your site again.

Let us know how this goes!

Done, and I’ve disabled caching on Cloudflare for the time being.

That seems to have done it, however the video is still not sizing properly despite having no width set.

It’s back to being Jacked up

Hi There,

Your given url seems redirecting to https://theonefifty.com/
And I can see there is some error in the page, I believe you are working something or the cornerstone/theme disable in the site.

Please confirm.

Thanks

Yes, I deleted Cornerstone and I’m trying to replace the XTheme install because I didn’t hear back in time yesterday. In the next hour I should have it reposted to see if the problem is still there.

I’ve just removed the xtheme and cornerstone, reinstalled it and it’s doing the same thing

There HAS to be something with the theme OR Cornerstone. I’ve just tried installing the site on another host and I got the same issues. When I load Cornerstone the editor takes FOREVER to render out.

I’m LOST… something isn’t working at all. I tried dragging GAP elements into the design and it never shows. Spacing is way off… I’m about to give up.

Hello There,

Thanks for updating us in! Just for future topics, self responding or bumping your post pushes it back in our Queue system so it takes longer to respond to.

At the time when I check your site, it seems that it is down.

Since you are using CloudFlare, please make sure that you are using the the recommended CloudFlare settings. You can check it right here: https://xthemetips.com/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/928/

If you have installed caching or minify plugin, please also disable it for the time being.

Please let us know how it goes.

The site is up, but cached in places. Cloudflare is operational. I didn’t know I was pushing myself down but I wanted to fill out the thread as I was gaining experience with solving the issues. Good to know, I’ll edit previous comments next time.

Are you now able to see the site?

Hey There,

The page is still down.

Please contact CloudFlare to make this page live so we can check your issue.

Thanks.
