RSS feed for category not working

Hi,
I create a monthly newsletter using a category RSS feed in MailChimp. to control exactly which posts are pulled into the newsletter, I change the category each time. This has worked for the last 17 newsletters.
Unfortunately, MailChimp is saying that the updated RSS feed for the next one is not valid.
Can you find out why this is not working?

Thanks for writing in! Please be advised that X theme does not modify the RSS feed. We simply rely on the default WordPress RSS feed. There may be a 3rd party plugin that created the issue. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Thanks. It turned out to be a strange special character in one of the blog posts. As soon as I removed it the whole rss feed worked. Such a simple fix.
Out of interest, I also tried the ‘Fix My Feed RSS Repair’ plugin, however, that didn’t fix the problem.
