Root Font Size (Stepped) is not applying to the Header & Footer

Hi,

I’ve set up some root font sizes, and everything appears to be working in the Body of the homepage. However, there are no stepped changes happening in the Header or Footer. I’m attaching screenshots to show the Typography setting and a comparison between mobile and desktop font sizes.

The problem is most noticeable in the button font size. Between the top middle button and the bottom right button, the font sizes are the same on Desktop, and on Tablet it is significantly bigger in the bottom bar.

It’s using WordPress Version 5.7, Pro 4.2.3, and I’ve already checked for plugin conflicts. I’ll attach the login instructions in a private note.

Is this some kind of bug, or another conflict?

Thanks!

Hello @RinardMedia,

Thanks for writing to us.

I checked your site it seems that you have set the font size of the header button from the Button element. Please have a look at the given screenshot below.

If you check the source code by using browser’s element inspector you will be able to see the font size of the button.

Hope it helps
Thanks

Thank you! That did not help too much, but it did spark another idea that fixed my problem: I changed the metric from em to rem on each element and now it is scaling!

Thanks for jogging my mind.

Hi @RinardMedia,

Glad that we are able to help you with this.

Thanks
