Rocket Loader (on CloudFlare) breaks cornerstone

Rocket Loader on CLoudFlare provides a really good speed boost for our site.

We constantly have to disable it though to make any tweaks to the site using cornerstone (unless we stay in skeleton mode, which is far from ideal)…

We’ve tried using the Page settings as per instructions on:

https://michaelbourne.ca/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/

But this does not work. It makes no difference, and going by the comments on that page this is the case for others too.

Any ideas what we can do?

I’m trying to perfect our landing pages at the moment and improve our Google Adwords score… So need the speed to be as good as possible, whilst also being able to adjust the page designs.

Thanks for any assistance.

Kind Regards

Jon

I’ve ensured the Cloudflare page rules are in the best order. Plus I’ve double checked and the page rulle address looks correct compared to when viewing our cornerstone editor.

Something isn’t working… hmm…

Hi Jon,

Thanks for writing in! Did you clear full CloudFlare cache after setting up those page rules? If not, you need to purge full cache.

Then also try disabling JavaScrpt and CSS autominification under the CloudFlare Speed tab. Once you make a change, you need to purge CloudFlare cache.

Also before testing,

  1. If you’re using a caching plugin on your server, you need to purge your server cache.
  2. You also need to clear browser cache.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
