Revolution Slider works in Cornerstone preview but not on website?

Hi there,

I’m new to Wordpress and the X theme. What I am trying to do is add a Revolution Slider to my main landing page. I’ve watched a few YouTube videos however they are quite old and seem to have conflicting directions.

I’ve managed to create a 2 image slider through the Wordpress Dashboard page under Revolution Slider, and then entered Cornerstone, added the Classic Revolution Slider to my section and referenced the slider I have constructed. When I preview in Cornerstone I can see the images alternating on the page (albeit not quite aligned as I would like yet), now when I go to the physical website externally / outside of Cornerstone the images are not there… I am certain I have saved the slider in Cornerstone before I am trying the website.

I’ve read some things about adding the Shortcode into a text element, should I be trying to do this instead? Is there any current X / Rev Slider documentation or videos you can point me to?

Also while trying to figure this out it seems that I can go to the classic Wordpress pages view and I have some other options for the slider placement, although my landing page doesn’t appear as one of my pages under this listing?

Thanks.

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! You can try adding the shortcode version. Here’s how you can locate it.

Go to slider settings:

Then you can get the slider shortcode

Which you can place into your Text element.

Also you can reach the Slider Revolution documentation from the following link.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, that sorted the issue somewhat. Seemed to be that the page was on a post page rather than static under the Reading menu.

Glad that you managed to fix the issue.
