Revolution Slider Record Not Found

I am using trying to use the Non Profit demo on my site and getting the “no record found” when I activate Rev Slider. I have read the support items and understand that might not be activating even though it says that it is.

I can work through the issues as requested and try to install it manually, but I am working on a bit of a different issue and I do not know quite how to do this.

I am using a testing domain called at http://new.crossconnecting.net and this is pointed IP address because I am using a subdomain of crossconnecting.net because it is still hosted there, but pointed to the IP address at Site Ground, where I plan to move the site.

So, I am not really sure how to FTTP and modify any records on new.crossconnecting.net.

Can you walk me through this?

Hi there,

If you are initially using a test domain for the development to your site and in need to update it with the actual domain, you can use the Better Search and Replace plugin to update the URLs.

You just need to search for the test domain and have it replaced by the new one. That way, all the links on your site referring to the old url will get updated.

Please also make sure to backup your database before making any changes.

What I am trying to understand is:

  1. There is an apparent difficulty with the Rev Slider when using it with demo content that results in a “record not found” page.
  2. This is because the slider does not activate when you tell the system to activate it and the status shows it active.
  3. The only work around for this bug is to manually install Rev Slider using FTP.
  4. I am wondering if there is some other way to do this as I do not know how to access this staging site via FTP.

Hi,

In your plugins page, try to deactivate and delete revslider plugin. Then instal it back Via X > Validation Page.

If that doesn’t work then the only way would be through FTP.

You can contact your hosting provided for your FTP details.
