Revolution slider - poster until end of video preload

Hello,
I’m using X 5.1.0 with Revolution Slider 5.4.3.1 & Ethos 2. Based on Church template I edited slider to show video instead of photo. All good except one significant thing: video has 14MB / 22sec and I’d like to preload at least 50% before displaying it. Until that I’m perfectly happy with poster image. How to force preload of video before showing it?

Hi Martin,

To load the video layer first set it’s start time to 0 and adjust the end time as per your video length in Layers Timing & Sorting then adjust to display image layer first.

You can also use the Optional Video Background feature in the page editor under Slider Settings: Above/Below Masthead and see how this goes!

I think problem solved or I have some incredible internet connection :wink:
One more thing: is it possible to create 2-3 different videos that will vary upon user connection speed?

That is a feature neither offered in Slider Revolution or X. It could be possible through custom development but that would be outside the scope of our support. One (hopefully last) question,
at the beginning of slider loading there’s a one-color background. How can I change it’s color?
