Revolution Slider not saving work!

For some reason, after I add a certain amount of elements to the slider, with transitions, etc., everything all of a sudden disappears after I save and I do not know why it is doing this. At times, I can see the elements in the slider editor, but when I save, they DO NOT display on the website. Then, all of my layers and everything are gone, after I leave the editor and re-launch it. This is extremely frustrating as I’ve taken all day to try and figure out what the issue is and have a deadline I need to meet and this is holding me up.

Everything is up-to-date. Wordpress, the slider plugin and there are no plugin conflicts. I also have max upload space, etc. with my hosting provider.

Will send WordPress login in a private note. Once you login, please add elements to the slider from the media so you can see what I am talking about. Please help with fixing this issue. Thanks.

Hey @thatcreativeguy,

I see that a slider can only take 2 layers to save successfully. If you add more layers, you get an AJAX Error.

I see your system requirements are all set and none of the 3rd party plugins is causing the issue and neither does the child theme so please check the following possible causes and ask your web host to set and/or fix.

  • Though it’s recommended that you use the latest version of PHP, it might have undiscovered compatibility issues so please ask your web host to downgrade PHP to version 7.2
  • Ask your web host if the wp-admin/admin-ajax.php of WordPress is blocked or limited because when you save, you get the error in the following screenshot. Please pass the screenshot to your host.

Thanks.

I downgraded to PHP version 7.2 and it’s still doing the same thing…Sigh…

Hi @thatcreativeguy,

There is also one or more recommended PHP modules that are missing on your website, this could be some of the reasons why your revolution slider is not working. Please ask your web host to help you with the missing modules. See the secure note for more information.

Thank you.
