Revolution Slider - jQuery.js error iPad mini only

Hi,

I’m facing an issue with the Revolution Slider on iPad mini’s only. The sliders work perfectly when viewed on Desktop / Laptop / iPad (pro + standard) and multiple phones, however when viewing on iPad mini there is an Oops “You have some jQuery.js include that comes after the…”

I’ve set the global settings on the Rev Slider to be in the footer and disabled all 3rd party plugins but the issue persists. I cannot seem to find any settings for clearing cache (no caching plugins are currently used).

I also tested on a Kindle device which is the same screen resolution and it works fine!

Are there any known issues like this which would affect iPad mini’s only?

Hi Stephen,

There are no known issues reported specifically for the iPad Mini regarding the Revolution Slider plugin.

The error that you shared is a typical double jQuery library load problem. I am not sure about your system setup but I do suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Make sure that you have the latest version of the Revolution Slider installed.
• Clear your iPad Mini browser cache, not the WordPress itself as you already mentioned you do not have any cache plugin installed. Here is how to do so.
• Update the iOs of your iPad Mini to the latest version possible.
• Change the theme of the website form our theme to another one and check if the problem persists. This is to make sure if there is no conflict of the theme and the plugin.

Thanks for the reply, Christopher.

I checked with the two users that reported the issue to me and the iOS version on these devices were 9.3, so it’s very much out-of-date. As Safari is ties to the OS version, which cannot be updated due to the age of the device - I would like to know if there is an easy way to hide the slider if an out-of-date browser is detected? I see the settings there to hide for mobile but that would be undesirable.
