Revolution slider fatal error

Hi there,
I want to activate rev slider but there is a message:

I also deleted plugin folder on ftp and re-install it but it didnt work at all.

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! It seems that your database tables related to the revolution slider is corrupted. Could you please try clearing those tables and then re-install the plugin.

You should be able to locate the related tables starting with wp_revslider_

Sorry I don’t get it. It means with above mentioned ftp credentials you are unable to access PHPMyAdmin or Hosting Control Panel? Because ftp and wordpress credentials are the only one we have.

Hi there,

PHPMyAdmin is tied up to your site’s database, it’s not something that you can just install. How about contacting your hosting provider and have the table issues fixed? That happens because it fails to create the required tables during activation. It’s very rare and only happens on hosting with issues with databases.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your patience. I have resolved your issues and restored revolution slider for you.

One thing I just noticed is that you’re running PHP v5.4.45 on your server. It’s better to update it to at least PHP v5.6.31 or later at some point to avoid incompatibility issues with WordPress and most of the plugins.

Hey guys, I’m a proper noob when it comes to WP. My revolution slider has caused this fatal error. I can’t even access the dashboard to delete the slider or update. Help!!

I’m losing business with this and google has punished me on the rankings as mobile can’t access my site at all.

Any ideas how to get to the dashboard with a fatal error?

Hi there,

You can not access the Dashboard with a Fatal Error. You need to access your website with the FTP connection and temporarily rename the Revolution Slider plugin folder name. For example change:

wp-content/plugins/revslider/index.php

to:

wp-content/plugins/revslider_old/index.php

See if it temporarily brings back the dashboard or not. Also, you will need to contact your hosting service provider and ask them to make sure you use one of the accepted PHP versions below:

php.net/supported-versions.php
