Revolution Slider Bug - Font weight applying to webpage

Hi,

I have think i may have found a bug with revolution slider. Basically my font on my website (PRO) is set to Lato in the theme options and i noticed that on of my pages, all of the text was set to bold with no issues with open bold tags anywhere. I went through disabling my plugins to find that when i disabled revolution slider, the text reverted to normal. I then started looking one of the sliders on the effected page and removed it from the page itself and the font was fine. When i added the slider back to the page, all the text went to bold again…

Now… after a bit of messing round i noticed that whenever i changed the font weight of my heading in the slider to 700(bold), this would then change all the text on my webpage to bold. If i set it to regular, my text went back to normal on the page. My heading on the sliders font was set to Lato, the same as my body text so I thought that i would try a different font such as roboto and this works. I set the heading as roboto bold and my body text on my page was then fine. It seems that if the heading font in the slider is the same as the body text, its weight properties also effect the body text. If you would like to see this, i can send you a secure note with the details.

Do you know why this would happen?

thanks folks,

Chris

Thanks @tristup. Secure note added.

Hello Chris,

The Lato font with the font weight of 400 looks like it is bold.
Kindly check out the different font-weight here: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Lato?query=lato

Best Regards.

Hi @tristup

Did you see that the moment you change the font to lato on the heading on the About Us revolution slider, that it changes all of the text to bold on the webpage itself? I can always record a video to show you?

thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

I have checked your website and found the issue you described, theme version might be the reason behind your issue.
It seems that you are still using the older version of Pro i.e 4.0.11 which have a few issue which resolves later on. I would suggest you to update the theme to the latest version i.e 4.2.3 and let us know if the issue still exists.

Thanks
