Revolution slider broken - where to update?

Hi,

Ive noticed that my Revolution Sliders are broken on my production and staging sites. Im on v6.2.21 and Ive seen there is a 6.2.23 update on the Revolution Slider site, but I cant see any way of updating it. Ive checked the bulk extension manager and it doesnt appear. There are no updates being reported in the plugin site and I cant see anywhere to download it.

Can you advise how I can update this plugin asap please. Shouldnt there be a downloads page or similar for X-users to make it easier?

Hey @wbc,

The version of Slider Revolution we currently bundle is 6.2.22. That said, you can’t update to 6.2.23.

What you can do is, export or back up all your sliders and then uninstall Slider Revolution. Then, install it again via X/Pro > Validation. That will install the latest bundled version.

In X theres only an option to install it. Once installed it says installed and activated with no option to uninstall. Also, going to the bulk extension manager, I can see every plugin listed, except for Revolution Slider. How do I uninstall it via Validation please?

Hello @wbc,

You can deactivate and then delete the Slider Revolution plugin from the WP-ADMIN-->Plugins
After that, you can reinstall the Slider Revolution X/Pro > Validation. Please take a backup of your slider form Revolution slider as mentioned by @christian.

Hi, Ive done the export, thats not the problem. The problem is that I cant uninstall from either Validation or Bulk Extension Manager.

Hi @wbc,

Plugin can be Deactivated and then Deleted from the Plugins menu in you wp-admin. Once you Deactivate the plugin you will get the Delete option just in the same place.

Thanks thats worked. For feedback, an inbuilt plugins upgrade function where all plugins are included would be really helpful. I dont know why Revolution Slider was outside the bulk extension manager but doesnt make for a coherent experience where some are in, some out and some are activated in one place and deactivated elsewhere.
