Revolution slider autoplay video modal with sound

Hi there,

This is what I want to achieve: https://revolution.themepunch.com/wordpress-theme/

What I’ve done so far:

1. I have created a slide for my landing page with a “play video” button
2. This button opens up another slide as modal (that I made like this: https://www.themepunch.com/slider-revolution/lightbox-modal/)

Now, either I select “autoplay” in my modal slide, which autoplays the video but mutes it.
OR I select autoplay off and mute at start off in my modal slide, which unmutes the video but doesn’t autoplay.

I want it both to autoplay and play sound. I know there’s browser restrictions, but in the example I provided, they made it work somehow.

I also tried adding actions to my “play video” button (like play media or unmute media), but I don’t think I can control a layer on slide 2 (the modal) with a layer on slide 1 (the play video button).

Can anybody help me out here?

We might need to check your setup. Since you have followed the revslider documentation, we need to double check it’s settings. I have check your site: https://brighthives.com/., I can see this notification:

default:241 The AudioContext was not allowed to start. It must be resumed (or created) after a user gesture on the page. https://goo.gl/7K7WLu

I am not sure if that is related but that’s about audio. Please provide credentials inside a secure note. For the mean time, you could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
