Revolution Slider Auto Plays Sometimes but not others

I setup a vimeo video as a background video and it is set to auto play and everything works fine. The problem is that on some page loads it doesn’t play and just stays on the poster. This is different than taking a longer time to load, it never plays.

Is there something you can look at to know what is getting in the way?

I have checked your website Home Page and found the Revolution Slider perfectly plays the Vimeo video on every time the page reloads. If you are still having this issue, I would suggest you make a video that help us to recognize the problem.

Ok thanks for checking. I would do that but a video is just going to show the page loading with the background video not playing. It doesn’t happen everytime or on every browser but Brave browser seems to have the most times not working.
I am getting support from Theme Punch, hopefully they can see if there is a conflict with loading on the page.

They suggested HTML5 video instead of vimeo which did speed up loading slightly. However, the best performance is just with the native video element.
The only issue I have with using that is there is no way to replicate the “Click to unmute audio” button that I was using in Revolution slider.
All I have to use in cornerstone is the audio element and I dont want a player bar.

Hello @clefler,

The video element in Cornerstone is the one we have. If you the video as background, there will be no audio. No other way to replicate the Slider Revolution in Cornerstone. By the way, I am using Brave and the video is playing in your slider.

Thanks for checking.
I ended up keeping the Revolution slider and doing some work to speed the page up to help it load.
By default, many scripts load that are not needed…actually all of them load so I used a plugin to eliminate as many as I could.
It seems to be loading quick enough and playing after a shorter time now.
