Revolution Slider Accessibility

Hello! For accessibility purposes, I am required to make the left/right navigation buttons on my Revolution Slider focusable by tabbing with my keyboard, as they are interactive elements. I do have “Keyboard Arrow Navigation” turned on, yet I do not see any other area where I can make these arrow buttons focusable by tabbing. Also, from browsing my site’s files, I cannot yet seem to locate the HTML of my site in order to manually input the feature that is needed.

Is a resolution to this issue possible currently?

Hey Ryan,

Thanks for writing in!

Kindly check out this documentation:

Best Regards.

Hello. This is actually not what I meant. I mean that by pressing the TAB button on a keyboard to shift focus to the interactive elements on a website, I need the left and right buttons on the Revolution Slider to be focusable by pressing the TAB key…

I am not looking to make tabs as in different sections in Revolution Slider…

Hey Ryan,

Regretfully, there is no option for that in Slider Revolution and since we are not the author of Slider Revolution, we cannot update its code. We need to submit a feature request to the author.

If you need the feature now, regretfully, you’d have to custom code a slider. In case you’re not a developer, you’d need to hire one.

Thank you for understanding.

I was actually able to enable the desired functionality and pass the accessibility scan for this area, but not through the options found within “Navigation Options.” I accomplished this by re-creating the navigation buttons as buttons on the global layer, then under “Attributes” I assigned a TabIndex value of 1 (for some reason, keeping the TabIndex as 0 did not make the buttons focusable as they should be with that value).

The result of the scan for this area:

Hi Ryan,

Glad to know that you are able to achieve what you are trying to, and also thanks for sharing the way you did it.

Thanks
