Rev Slider, Youtube hero, not displaying in mobile view

Hi!

I’m using two rev sliders on my homepage and the youtube hero slider, which is at the top of my homepage, is not displaying properly on mobile devices. The video plays on desktop devices with almost no issues. Every once in awhile I see this error about youtube ssl certificate or something of that nature and would like to get rid of it permanently.

As for the second slider, it is a slideshow and does display on mobile, but the right and left arrows that are a part of the slider by default can be seen via desktop, yet are not visible on mobile view. They disappear. Visitors will not know to scroll left in order to view the slider in its entirety. Please help.

Hi there,

Unfortunately, it’s behind a coming soon page and I can’t check it. Please provide your login credentials in a secure note and we’ll continue checking.

Hi there,

Video has no autoplay in mobile, it needs interaction with the user to play it, like tapping it. But since your video is added as a background, then there is no way to interact with it, and you can’t play it. But, it should display a cover/poster image in case it can’t be played. And upon checking, your poster image doesn’t exist https://www.keianienterprises.com/wp-content/uploads/revslider/youtubehero/youtubebg.jpg

Another solution is adding your video as a layer with player controls, so you can play it in mobile.

Thanks!

Hi, Rad!

I created a new page momentarily and embedded the slider instead of adding it via cornerstone and still no video movement on mobile view with action. How do I temporarily change it from a background video to a regular video for testing purposes? I want to test it to see if as a regular video if it would display on mobile devices and display controls whereas it can actually be played. Users have no way of knowing to tap the object because… directional arrows, etc. are not visible. Can directional arrows be added that will display in only mobile view so users know to interact with my homepage sliders?

For example: In mobile view, this slider’s arrows disappear.

There’s no way to temporarily change it. Duplicate your slider and test the copy.

Please see the Arrows section at https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/navigation/

Thanks.
