Rev Slider (sometimes) looks wrong on Firefox and Chrome

If I ctrl or shift + F5 on the site in those browsers, most of the time it looks right, my background image in the slider layer, and the text I put over it, are lined up as they should be.

But sometimes the image randomly appears alligned too “low” and has moved away outside the row, while the text is in the right place.

Hey @tessercat ,

I’ve reload your site on Firefox Windows 10 many times and also used ctrl and shift +f5 and I didn’t see the issue you described.

Is this happening on Mac? Please give us the Operating System name and version and also the Firefox version.

Also, it would be best that you provide a screenshot of the issue.

Thanks.

It’s happening on Windows 10 version 2004, Firefox version 79.0, and Chrome version 84.0.4147.105

I’ll add a secure note.

Hey @tessercat,

What I’m seeing is actually the issue. In my laptop, your slider looks fine but not on the desktop Full HD screen so this could be an aspect ratio mismatch.

Please take a look at the screenshots in the secure note. Notice that on a small screen, the container of the slider is a short rectangle while on a large screen, it’s a long rectangle because the height is fixed. Your image’s aspect ratio is closely matches the small screen container’s dimensions but that’s not the case on desktop.

Try setting your BG Fit to Contain.

You can find that under the Slide Options

If that doesn’t help, please give us the following information in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password

Thanks.

Hi Attaching a screenshot.

Hey @tessercat,

In that case, please give us WordPress Admin access as asked previously.

Thanks.

Ok adding that info in the note.

Hello Jasdeep,

I have logged in and changed your slider settings. The BG Fit were set to “Auto” and have been positioned to the middle of the slide.

Please clear your browser cache or use private browsing mode and test your site again.

Thanks I think that’s fixed now, but I still don’t see any of the options above “Alt” Attr.

Hello Jasdeep,

Please edit your slide and do not click any layout. Go to the Slide Options and you will see the Image settings.

Hope this helps.

I’m sorry I still see the same thing. I am going to edit slide, and not clicking on layout. Could you gif or video it please?

Also now that solution has taken my text too far right on mobile screens, whats the best way to fix that without breaking on other screens?

Hi Jasdeep,

Please find the video where the steps are shown which explained by @runel.

That’s exactly what I have been doing. I do not see BG Fit options there, like Rev Slider is broken for me.

Hi Jasdeep,

I tried to create a sample slider at your site, and it works for me with those options.
When I checked your two existing sliders ** Home and ** Classes found the options inside the ** Classes slider.

Screenshots are in secured note

Thanks

I guess it’s that slider itself, I’m scared of breaking it.

Hi Jasdeep,

Great that you are able to solve the issue.

Thanks
