Rev slider issue (slide's layer position not where it should be)

Hi guys, i’ve been having this problem for a while. so much that i just gave up rev slider until recently.

Basically, the slider allows me to add layers and stuff but i do not have a guide to how it will look on the front-end. in my case, i managed to create the slider and almost everything is looking great except for one layer that for a weird reason i can’t even see.

i know the problem is not the slider itself but me not knowing how it works and i was hoping you could help me out with it, because there’s clearly something i’m missing.

I’m sorry but I’m also not sure what the problem is. Would you mind providing more details. If you could not find the info you need in Slider Revolution’s documentation, maybe you could learn from their Youtube channel.

It is hard to select a layer especially if you have reordered their stacking. One thing is for sure is that all your layers are available inside the quick layer selector so you could hover over the list and your layers will be highlighted which is otherwise not possible if your just going to select the layer from the layer editor.

My problem is that I really do not know WHERE is the layer going to be.
Let’s say I position the layer at the bottom left corner of the slide. If I then try to see my slide (which is fullwidth, for the sake of the example) then I should see it exactly at the bottom left corner of the slide. Instead I see it a little bit to the left from the middle in the front end, which is something I do. Of want

Hey @elpanda13,

I hope this will make sense. I duplicated your slider, played around with the settings and added it to a test page. The Layer Position is relative the Layer Grid Size. I recorded my test in this screencast.

The details above helps us understand the issue. The issue with the invisible layer is your grid size must be larger than all the layers or the layer must be within the grid size for it to show in the editor. In this screenshot:

I’ve set the grid size to 1366 in width. It does not show up in the editor. The 3 waves at the bottom spans 3000px combined. The first 2 layers shows up because they are within the grid size.

In this next screenshot:

The I’ve set the grid size to 2560px so the 3rd wave layer is within the grid size so it shows up. Even if it shows up though, it does not display the same as in the front-end. I recommend you stitch the images in Photoshop for this case and this is also beneficial for performance as it would take fewer request. If you stick with the current setup, you need to play around with the position values, save and look at the front-end. It looks like this is a bug in Slider Revolution. I’ll post this in our issue tracker.
