Retina not working

Hi Guys,

Recently I’ve found that the retina but no longer works on my site. It changes it in the page builder but when you actually view the site the image is back to its normal size.

I got around it for a while by changing my image sizes but this is no longer an option as I wish to use it for logos (The logo I want to use looks awful without retina)

Any ideas why this would happen?

Just to let you know it started happening before I installed: Autoptimize, Async, Imagify and WP Supercache

I haven’t really installed anything else it just seemed to drop out.

Thank you for the very detailed post information.

Please edit your header and make sure that you have enabled the Retina option in your logo image.

If the resulting retina image is quite smaller, please upload a bigger image dimensions.

As I said I have enabled this option and it works on the page builder and looks great, but it doesn’t work when I check the site in Chrome, Edge, etc.

I have attached images so you can see what I mean.

I have checked the frontend and I can see it might be a third party plugin. The image structure was different than normal structure for image that the theme provides.

Here’s the default structure with the theme using the same image:

Please check for a third party plugin that might caused this. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
