Retina Eye Button - What is it?

Hello,

I have been researching into how to make my images on my website look sharper on retina displays and I was wondering what is the real function of the Retina eye button when you upload an image on X pro?

Does it mean:

• If I upload an image that is retina size ready (2x the normal size) and click on the button, it will show retina for retina displays and it will show half the size for normal screens?
• Does it just mean that it scales it down halfway to make the image smaller so it will look sharper on retina displays?

It would be really nice to get a good explanation of this on the docs page, since retina displays are becoming more and more popular.

Thank you for writing in, yes and yes, by default retina display is enabled so it will look nice on retina supported devices. If you want to have a retina image upload your image in 2x the normal size.
