Restoring site, Pro & Cornerstone fail to work

Hi,

I am practicing a restore of a site ahead of a server move. I have WordPress all running and serving fine except it appears Pro and Cornerstone dont work. If I try to go to Pro from the top bar of the admin screen ie url sitename.com/pro I get a 404 error.

However if I go to Pro via the site bar which goes to sitename.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=x-addons-home, this works for the overview page but nothing else.

It is almost as if the theme is only half installed.

How do I go about reinstalling the theme without removing any existing content?

Found the problem & fixed it. Leaving fix here for anybody else in the same situation.

So it turns out the sub pages on the front end were also not displaying. Problem with the permalinks. In the restore process I had to manually create the site config files, I missed a portion … turns out a fairly important portion for rewrites!

This article explains what to do and worked for me: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/questions/why-aren-t-my-wordpress-permalinks-working

Hi @TarmacWebTeam,

Great that you are able to fix the issue, and thanks for the solution.

Thanks
