Restore Site and Rebuild

Hi, wondering if anyone can advise me.

I am not happy with one of my websites using theme x and all the functionality I have on my other sites seems to now be working well. I am planning to update to pro (as i did with another site) and restore my website to start again. This would also help me clean up some of the SEO issues and mistakes i made when building the site.

My question is that if I do that will all the pages created which are listed on google search over time just be removed from their listing? or would they sit around and harm my site like broken links? Any advice appreciated as i am planning to test on a small site before rolling it out to my main business.

This is not an expert opinion on SEO but I think it will still be there for a while. If you want to totally remove it, you might want to check this article.

I have doe that before but was hopin g remove everything and wait for google to remove but it sounds like thats not possible and would need to do this process from your message.
