Restore content -- Feature Request Priority

ok. I KNOW that there are about 50,000 users out there with this same issue–a user chose to edit cornerstone content outside of cornerstone resulting in lost page/content layout. We have all the shortcode data though…which, we can’t do anything with! I cannot control what my editor and content owners do to the pages…but they inevitably come to me after things are broken, sometimes months later…

This question has been brought up for at least the past 4 years on this forum–how has this not been addressed or fixed or, at the very least, a work around provided?

like–why can’t we past the shortcode output into a raw HTML block and have it display? ANYTHING–other than the standard answers that have been thrown to users every time this question is asked.

PLEASE make this the #1 feature request that is added to the next release. please…

We understand your concern about this and a solution is more within reach now that the new systems are in place in the latest version. Just note that we still can’t guarantee if the builder content will be changed.

Unfortunately, we don’t have plans to change how posts/page data is stored anytime soon. The data isn’t lost though. If you edit it again in Cornerstone and save, it will restore the shortcode content.
