Responsive text in slider isn't loading initially

Hi there!

I’d like to use the basic slider in the x-theme to animate some simple testimonials. I’ve set up responsive text to make it look nice in all screens, which works great, except that it doesn’t load when it’s in the slider :sob:

The slider initially loads the text in the standard font-size, but it actually loads the responsive text if one is to change the screen size.

Is there any way to make the responsive text load initially?

The page is www.antje.no, and as you can see the first section has the text within a slider, the second section doesn’t and works just as it should.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Initial load:

After any change of window width:

Hi There,

Please add the following code under Customizer > Custom > Global Javascript:

jQuery(function($){
	$(document).ready(function(){
		$(window).trigger('resize');
	});
});

Global CSS, and not JS? Tried both, with no luck unfortunately.

Theme options > Custom CSS, right?

Sorry for the confusion!

It should be the Global Javascript.

Could you please share us with your admin account so we can take a closer look?

Thanks.

Added a secure note above :slight_smile:

Thanks!

Hello There,

The JS code has been added in the Global javascript correctly. Regretfully it does not work because the responsive script will be triggered first before the slider even initialize or load in the page. This is why as you noticed that as soon as you resize the window, the responsive test kicks in. If you are using the slider because you are after of the fade in effect for the text, I would recommend that you remove the slider, insert the contents directly in the column and make use of the fade animation right in your column settings. It has the same fade in effect which have right now.

Hope this helps.

Hi again!

Unfortunately the effect I want to achieve is to use the slider to show several testimonials, and not only this one.

But I guess the easiest way will be to use @media-tags and make the text sort of responsive this way instead.

Thanks for your help anyways!

You’re welcome.
