Responsive Pages

I am just checking that i am doing this right it seems a very complicated and long winded way of doing things to make sure that the pages and elements fit correctly on the device they are viewing on.

I have basicly created created different bars for each of the different device types etc it crossed my mind if this should be done in containers rather than bars the demo version i based this on did not have any of that but seemed to work well on any device.

Yes, seems to be correct and you have to display different content or structure for each device if they have complex layouts that is too populated when viewed on a smaller screen. Hence, re-arranging the content for each header/footer bar is correct.
