Responsive grid with multiple content

Hi there!

Is possible to build a responsive grid with multiple types of content? I am looking for something like https://kickartz-printen.de/herzstuecke/
Note how the pictures and text elements are place in a responsive grid. The features I am looking for are:

  • sizing elements at different sizes
  • using elements of different type (media and text/html)
  • responsive grid layout
  • some of the elements to have a nice hover effect as it can be achieved with designated skins within the “The Grid” plugin

Neither was I able to achieve this with The Grid nor with the classic grid element cornerstone offers. Do you have any ideas as to what I could do?

Thank you in advance!

Hello Julian,

Thanks for posting in!

The example URL is using a kickartz masonry grid. I am not sure if this is a plugin or custom-made for the site. If you want to accomplish this, you can use TheGrid plugin or the Essential Grid plugin. Just make sure that you select “Masonry” as your Grid Layout in the Grid Settings.

Please check out this documentation:

Hope this helps.

Hi,

thank you for your reply! As I said, I was not able to create any similar effect with “The Grid”. I now took a look at Essential Grid. Actually https://essential.themepunch.com/template_library/furniture-shop-lightbox-grid-gallery/ quite looks like what I want to achieve. Unfortunately it seems like I cannot access that template from within my dashboard. It says that I would need to activate my (Ess. Grid) Plugin through the X Theme. X on the other hand site tells me that the plugin is installed and activated…
What can I do?

Hello Julian,

Thank you for the clarifications. Because of the policy changes made by the creators of the Essential Grid plugin, you can only access the grid templates if you have purchased a separate Essential Grid license. They have made the templates exclusive feature to those who purchase the plugin and register to activate this feature. This changes was made the by creators of the plugin. We do not have any control about this.

To get the template that you really want, you may purchase a separate license or just create a similar grid skin that looks likes the example. You can check out their documentation to know how you can create your own skin here:

Hope this helps.
