Resize sidebar to 340 px

Hi,

We would like to increase our Sidebar Width on blog pages to 340 px from 280 px. But keep the Content Width the exact same. What Site Width and percentages would we require. Is there a guide or formula for this?

Hi again,

Thanks for writing around! The sidebar width is in percentage to keep it responsive, giving it a fixed width may cause responsive issues. To make it a little wider you can remove the extra padding by adding the following code in your Customizer:

.x-sidebar.right {
    padding-left: 0 !important;
}

Ok, is there a percentage for content width that would increase the sidebar width from 280 px to 340 px? Do we need to increase the maximum site width from 1210 px?

Hi,

To increase your sidebar width you need to reduce your Content Width under Theme Options > Layout and Design

Thanks. We reduced Content Width to 71% and increased Site Max Width to 1260 px. The Sidebar is now 330 px wide. MB
