Request for Constructive Criticism

Hello everyone!

I just completed a rough design of a website I’m building for a friend of mine. I’m semi-new to web design, and I’m new to using the Pro theme.

I’m hoping to get some general criticism on my design to help improve it’s appearance and my eye for web design in the future.

Here’s the site: http://file.tools/glow
I am going for a modern, sort of hipster design for this salon. Their brand color is that light blue, and I added in the tan color because I think it complements it. Most of the images are stock photos that have been properly licensed.

Only the home page is together right now, don’t bother following any of the links.

Thank you for any input you can provide!

I really like the front page layout

Dear @haltandcatchfire,
i like the clearness of your page, but i think the font-familys don’t match.
In the “we are GLOW” and the word “GLOW” are different to the header-menu font, it isn’t wrong in principle, but the two fonts not really harmious togehter, in my feeling.
You use Comfortaa and Lato, right? Booth are sans-serif but i think they don’t fit.

Try the Google Font Paring at the end of every font-page at Google-Fonts

The white font color in the headares where the telephonenumber is, is difficult to read,

I’m also a beginner in webdesign and my english isn’t really well, but hopefully it would help you a little bit
Keep it up like this!

Would you explain me how you get this really nice Elemts with the rev slider, i9s there a tutorial or something like this?

Kind Regards,
Stefan

Thank you, @aa2zz6

@Leopart I appreciate your feedback! You’re right about the fonts, and I like the font pairing tool you showed me.

Regarding the rev slider, it’s the built-in Instagram demo slider. You can get it here: https://revolution.themepunch.com/wordpress-instagram-gallery/
