My post was closed 8 hours ago, but I had not resolved the issue, so I’m hoping you can link this repost to the old one. They have the same title.
I followed the suggestion to re-install Cornerstone, and close its cache, but still could not complete the editing I need to do.
Help!
Thanks.
David
Hello David,
Thanks for updating in! I have checked your site and I have no problem editing the page or the text elements in it. Please check out this screenshots.
If you aren’t sure why you cannot click on the elements in the builder, please use the Skeleton Mode in the Layout tab.
Hope this helps.
Thanks, Ruenel. Your reply was helpful, but I still have two questions.
First, my counters no longer function and I don’t know how to fix them.
Second, I have to jpg images that I need to update. I tried to use the WP editor, but couldn’t get the replaced image to show up on the website. On cornerstone, I haven’t figured out how to update the image, which is a numerical chart (see below). The chart that currently is on the site ends in 2020, and I need to update it to 2021.
Thanks for your help.
David
Hey David,
There is a known with the the Classic Counters in the latest version of the theme. It is best that you change them with the new Counter element. You can check this documentation to be more familiar with the new Counter element:
Regarding those images, it was inserted inside the Classic Tab elements. You will need to use the Skeleton Mode which I have pointed out in my previous response. Please check the link in the secure note to be able to change those images.
Thank you.
Ruenel: I read the link you provided, then tried to replace the old counters with new ones, but couldn’t figure out how. I dragged the Counter element over to the page, but it didn’t produce a new counter. I tried deleting one of the current counters first, but still couldn’t make it work.
I was able to replace the images. Thank you for that help.

Hi David,
This is an ongoing issue and has already been reported to our issue tracker. I have checked the issue on the tracker and the said issue has already been fixed in our unreleased version 5.2.0. I suggest that you will wait for our next cycle of release.
Thanks
Is the unreleased 5.2.0 version of the theme, or of Cornerstone?
Thanks.
David
Hey David,
The unreleased version 5.2.0 is for the Pro theme but there will also be an update to the X theme and Cornerstone plugin.
Hope that helps.
So, I should wait for the theme and Cornerstone updates to be released, and assume they will fix the counter issue? Do you have any estimate of when they will be released?
Thanks.
David
Hey David,
Yes, please kindly wait for the update as according to our issue tracker, the fix for the counter is included in it.
Regretfully, we don’t have a timeline for when the update will roll out. With that said, the ultimate solution (and this is always the ultimate solution for update issues for all WordPress sites regardless of themes and plugins), revert your site back to when it was working perfectly. This is the reason why having a website backup is a must-have for all website owners even if you don’t use WordPress. Please ask your web host if they can assist you with this.
And, before rolling out the new version to your live site, test it first in the staging copy of your live site. Follow the best practices here https://theme.co/docs/how-to-update
Thank you for understanding.
Thank you.
You’re welcome.
