Replacing the featured image with a Vimeo album gallery in a portfolio item

I’m looking to add a Vimeo album gallery to each portfolio item in the agency version of x themes ethos stack. I want to replace the image on the left with this type of gallery. I would still like a thumbnail image to show up on the portfolio main page

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! What you have in mind maybe possible. You can do the following:
1.) Please supply a featured image for each of the portfolio item.
2.) When you edit the portfolio item, you will find the Portfolio Item Settings > Media Type option which allows you to select which kind of media you want to display for your portfolio. If selecting a “Gallery,” simply upload your images to this post and organize them in the order you want them to display. If you choose “Video”, Video Portfolio Item Settings will display underneath wherein you can insert the Vimeo embed code.
3.) To display the thumbnail image in the portfolio page, please see to it that in Portfolio Item Settings > Featured Content, “Thumbnail” is selected.

What I really want is a light box gallery for a series of videos that takes the place of the static image

Hi there,

That’s only possible with customization, you will have to extend a post format that bridges the gallery and video, with additional lightbox feature. Unfortunately, we can’t provide such customization since it’s too complex. If it’s a small snippet then we may able to help. You may wish to consult this with a developer for proper and efficient implementation.
