Replacing old theme with new theme from design cloud

Hello Deejay,

I can confirmed that the template cannot be imported in your live site. After a closer look, I found out that it is because the template manager is throwing this error:
POST https://domain.remove/cornerstone-endpoint 503

BUYhdfESSzCTy_6QBM3hTA

In your live site server, please temporarily disable ModSecurity or at least while list the URL in the secure note.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

It is already disabled… See screenshot attached.

Hi Deejay,

May we have the permission to put your live site in under construction mode so that we can temporarily disable some plugins and investigate your issue further? This is unique to your installation as we cannot replicate this issue in our several test server installation. We need to check and investigate more.

Kindly let us know.

Sure. Please go ahead. In the meantime, can I continue to work on the backend and develop my site contents?
Let me know once you are done.

Hi DeeJay,

Please don’t do anything on the site yet while we troubleshoot it.

Actually I did not get the chance to troubleshoot it because the template you provided has properly uploaded when I attempted it.

It seems deactivating ModSecurity works, however, keeping the ModSecurity deactivated is not recommend, you can enable it back.

Thanks,

It is not loading on my live site. I’m able to upload it to the beta site but not the live domain.
Also, can you please delete screenshots from this entire thread where my url is publicly visible. Thanks.

Hi DeeJay,

Sorry about that, yes I can see the issue on your live site now. I see you have PHP Version 7.4.8, would you mind downgrading that to PHP version 7.2.x

Thanks,

I tried it all
7.2
7.1
7.0
and 5.6 also

Hi DeeJay,

I did take some time to investigate the issue, unfortunately, I was not able to pinpoint the root of it.

However, I did figured out what causes it, and I was able to upload the template (.tco) using a template from my dev site.

If you’re wondering what I did:

  • First, I deactivated all your plugins, leaving only Cornerstone and Under Construction plugin (it did not work)

  • Then I created my own template (.tco) file from my dev site (it did not work)

  • I created another template, but this time one file per page, home, about, and contact. (It partially work but not the home template)

  • So then I did a lot of deduction, first, I remove all the special characters and shortcode on the page (it did not work)

  • Then I remove all the dynamic content that is on the buttons (it did not work).

  • I remove all the images and background images on the page (it did not work).

  • I remove all the Element CSS, elements per element (it did not work).

  • Then I deleted the sections one by one starting from the bottom. Here I found out that it was the 3rd section (Personal Space) is causing the issue. So the template z-home27 on your site right now does not have that 3rd section (I hope that’s fine) as I have not pinpoint what exactly on that 3rd section is causing the issue.

I still believe that there is a server-side configuration that plays a part in this issue, as I was able to import the Crafty demo on my dev sites and local site without an issue. We will continue investigating this on our end, I hope you can work on your site now with those templates.

Have a nice day,
Cheers!

Thanks @friech. Appreciate all the efforts you and your team have put in so far to troubleshoot. I’ll try to workaround using the available templates that I have.

As for the server config issue that you are suggesting, don’t you think I should have had the same problem when trying to import it to my beta subdomain? Since my live domain and the beta subdomain are basically a part of the same cPanel account with the same config and it is working fine on the beta, this may not be a server-side issue but something else that we are clueless about?

Anyway, let’s close this thread for the time being… there ~50 message exchanges on this thread! If there is anything else, I’ll open a new topic.

A little disappointed but still thank you once again.

Hey DeeJay,

We are clueless right now as to what is causing this issue.

Anyway, I’ve already forwarded this to our core developer for further investigation. Regretfully, we could not give a timeline as to when this can be investigated.

If disabling ModSecurity makes uploading templates work as Friech said, I’d recommend temporarily deactivating it if you’ll work with the Template Manager.

Thanks.

No, as I said multiple times before, have already disabled ModSecurity and all the recommended settings but without success

Hey DeeJay,

I’m sorry for the confusion and thank you for reconfirming.

Please stay tuned for updates.

Thanks.
