I installed a theme through the Design Cloud, but I decided to use a different demo theme from Design Cloud. How can I install the new demo to override the one that is currently installed (including pages and posts)? When I try to install the new demo theme, it says that is will only change the theme options, but won’t override any of the pages or posts.

That’s not possible since it can only overwrite the duplicates, not the entire copy. For that, I recommend manually deleting your pages and posts and do the import again.
Or, do a clean installation if you’re still on import stage where there are no changes made.
