Recently I understood the necessity of a child theme when developing. However, after installing the child theme, I realized that my files still existed in the parent theme’s folder. So, I moved all files from the parent theme to the child, overwriting when prompted.
In doing so, I believe I changed something such that my site’s header was deleted - this includes the logo, menus, page headings, etc. I can still edit the header in the customizer, but I cannot see any changes as the header is completely missing. Everything else on the site seems to working fine. I am using Cornerstone to create pages, and I am using the Renew 2 theme.
