Remove tag author media files

Hi there,

I would like to remove the author tag from my media files. Right now, when I search for the authors name in Google, there shows an page with the attachment (image). In example: https://www.wildlifedesign.com/?attachment_id=531

I don’t like this page showing up in the search results. This page should not be visible for the customers. I think that is not an option to hide the page all together. So I think the best solution is to make sure there are no searchable keywords on there, such as the author tag.

Can you please provide me with the code to remove the autor and date tag from the images in the library?

Thanks for writing in! If you want to hide it from customers and also if you don’t want to appear it in internal WordPress search results or Google search, you need to make those posts or pages private.

If you don’t want to make them private, you can try adding the following code into your child theme’s functions.php file. If you don’t have a child theme setup yet, please follow our guide here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-how-to-setup-child-themes/57) and activate your child theme first.
