Remove space between elements

On this home page. https://nationalveteranstributenetwork.org/. About 1/2 way down is blue section with a logo (Veterans History Project) to the left and wording to the right. On a smart phone there is way to much spacing between the the bottom of the logo and the top of the section with the text. How can I reduce this space?

Hi @rkassebaum,

Thanks for writing in.

Would you mind sharing us a screenshot of what you mean.

Thanks.

Sure. Here is a link to the screen shot. https://natlvtn.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/IMG_8286.png. Basically, when you view on a smart phone because it stacks the image above the text it puts lots of extra space between. Just like to reduce the amount of space between. Thank you.

Hi again,

Please remove the fixed height height: 237px; from your columns and that should fix the issue.

Let us know how this goes!

I’m not sure where to remove the height: 237 px. Can you advise with a screen shot possibly?

I removed the image and still have a tone of space below.

Hello There,

The height is dynamically injected by a JS code because you have added this:

jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
	var max = 0;
	$("#x-section-4 .x-column").each(function(index, el) {
		if( $(this).height() > max ){
			max = $(this).height();
		}
	});
	$("#x-section-4 .x-column").css('height', max);
});

Please remove the code and the height should no longer be a problem. Please also keep in mind that for each section there is a default margin and padding. Please make sure that in your section settings, the padding and margin is set to minimum or zero or else it will contribute a space above and below the contents of your section.

Hope this helps.
