Remove Info Bar on Youtube clips embedded using Essential Grid

Hi

Just wondering if there is a way to remove the info bar that displays be default at the top of a youtube embedded video. As I am using Essential Grid, there doesn’t seem to be a way to add the standard additional code of ?showinfo=0 after the clip ID.

URL is www.found.rest

Many thanks
Craig

Hello Craig,

Thanks for writing in!

Are you the owner of the Youtube channel or videos? Regretfully there isn’t a feature in essential grid to insert additional Youtube video options. Kindly modify the modify in your embed code instead. You may have to visit each of the grid items and manually edit the embed codes.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Rue for your quick response. Yes I am the owner of the channel/videos.

Unfortunately I do not know how to modify the embed code. The only way to imbed in Essential Grid that I know of is to use the the Youtube Option and it only allows for the video ID. I did try adding the code ?showinfo=0 in this field but it did not work. . .

Any help is appreciated
Thanks
Craig

Hello Craig,

Instead of inserting the Youtube ID, use the iFrame URL. You can find this in the “Item Data” meta settings.

You can get the iframe URL in the youtube video embed code. To know how to get the Youtube embed code, you can check this:

Hope this would work for you.

Thank you. Unfortunately I can’t get the iframe setup to work at all. Do you have any videos’s/documentation that you can forward to me that will help?
Thanks again
Craig

Hi Craig,

The showinfo parameter is a deprecated option since 2018 that is why it is not working anymore.

https://developers.google.com/youtube/player_parameters#showinfo

Note: This parameter is deprecated and will be ignored after September 25, 2018.

Also, please note that this restriction is imposed by Youtube.

You might want to check the suggestion on here if you want to get rid of the video info of the videos:

Another option that you might want to look into is to use the Vimeo Pro for videos are you will have the option to have the video controls hidden:

Hope this helps.
