Remove Image Title Attributes - Pro Theme

I’m not referring to the alt text or image alt attribute. I’m referring to the image title attribute. (People often confuse these two. The difference is explained well here: https://blog.spotibo.com/difference-between-alt-text-and-title-text/)

Anyway, when I visit my webpage (such as the homepage - https://matrixrising.com/) and I hover my mouse over most of the images, the image title pops up with like “matrix rising 1”. I don’t want these image titles to pop up, but I can’t figure out anywhere in the Pro theme to remove them.

Any tips on this?

Thanks much!
Michael

Hi Michael,

I checked in my local setup and the latest version of X and Pro’s image element is not supposed to have a title attribute to the images. Based on your site, it looks like there is a plugin that is adding the attribute to all the images on you site (perhaps Jetpack). So kindly try to trace it in your setting and try disabling the plugin.

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much, Jade. The image title tags were being auto-generated by the SEO plug-in I’d added called RankMath. I really appreciate your insights to get me there!

We are delighted to assist you with this.

Cheers!
