Remove Aria-Hidden from Icons

Hello,

How can I remove the aria-hidden=“true” attribute from the social icons in the header?

I need these to be readable in with a Screen Reader.

Hello Micah,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully there isn’t any option that you can remove the aria-hidden="true" on the icons. It will only be possible with custom development which entails recoding the icon itself. Be advised that custom development is beyond the scope of our support. You may need a 3rd party plugin to do it for you if you do not comfortable making the customizations.

We would be happy to help you with anything related to the theme getting set up, bug fixes and minor cosmetic changes.

In the past month I have had 2 clients get sued for Website Accessibility. This is quickly becoming a VERY important item that most website operators must now deal with.

I request that you submit this ticket to your development team so that you can look into WCAG 2.1 compliance and how it impact the X Theme framework.
