Remember Active Tab on Page Load

Hello! I have run into a small issue with the “Tabs” element.

I am creating a user dashboard, and I wanted to have each “page” of content available as a tab.

My issue is that my third tab has a menu for sub-options for account management, “Home” “Subscriptions” “Payment”, when I click one of these options it resets the Tabs element to the first tab. Is there a way I can have it remember the “active tab” and show it again automatically?

I’ll include a link in the secure note. Thanks a ton!

Hello @kickinrad,

Thanks for writing to us

There feature that you want would require custom development. I would suggest you contact a developer who can assist you with your concern or you can avail of our services called One where customization questions are answered. Please note we don’t provide custom development support. It is out of the support scope.

Thanks for understanding

Huh. How is that custom development? I am not asking for any integrations with anything, I just have a question about your core product.

Can you just answer my question as to whether or not there is a way to remember the active tab? Or give me some information that might possibly be helpful?

Obviously, I could just rebuild it with a nav-bar and the would function fine, but this solution would be preferable if possible since it would be a smoother experience for my end users. I don’t even get a recommendation to try that though?? Ridiculous.

I have paid for “One” before and I have to say, the answers I received were even worse than the support I have gotten on the forum here, in my opinion just because these replies are at least visible publicly. It was a huge disappointment and I am near certain they would NOT be helpful with this question.

Honestly, support used to be one of my favorite things about Theme.co, but at this point I am not sure I would recommend it to anyone in the future.

Consider me unsatisfied.

Hi @kickinrad,

It’s custom development because what you’re describing is not a native feature of any of our elements, including Tabs. Cornerstone doesn’t offer any kind of storage or memory system to store and recall anything like that. Thanks for sharing your feedback on One, and your experience. I’m sorry to hear you’re unsatisfied. Please consider that what you’re trying to create pushes the limits of what is typically offered in multipurpose WordPress themes and plugins. Storing information per user session is specialized, and usually requires custom development, or implementing a plugin with very specific functionality that you are looking for.
