Reduce height footer + actual fullscreen revolution slider

Hi there,

Im having a page with a full screen revolution slider. The slider comes out a lot higher which is my first problem. full-screen is not at all fullscreen in this sense.

My second problem is the footer below, my page is very simple: header -> slider -> footer. But the footer becomes huge. 120px> instead of the 30px i entered. how do i remove these spaces?

my page is www.brandontwerp.nl

Thanks a bunch!

Hi There,

Thank you for writing in, your Footer bar has a huge padding around it. Please set its padding to 0 since you already have set the height (30px).

Regarding your slider, please set your Slider Layout to Full-Screen then put a .x-masthead, #wpadminbar on the Increase/Decrease Fullscreen Height (Optional) field (https://prnt.sc/gerukc), to offset the height of the header and (adminbar if you’re login).

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

Hi Friech, thanks for your feedback, im sad to say, I dont think the footer has an actual padding, not where I can edit it at least. the interface shows that all elements in the footer have 0 padding and margin, thus the reason I contacted you, this doesnt seem to add up. Maybe I’ve got something wrong here, please assist me if possible.

regarding the slider, thanks for your advice, this is indeed solving the height problem! I was using the terms #header and .header without result. .x-masthead does the trick though. Is there also a similar way to refer to the footer height in the same way? .x-mastfoot?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

Your footer has a padding, and your footer is made from footer builder. Below is a video recording. Please inspect your footer bar in your footer builder and make sure the paddings are zero.

As for footer selector, it should be .x-colophon.

Thanks!

Hi Rad,

Thanks for the footer selector! That works perfectly.

Im afraid I cant open your dropbox link, it just gives me a blank page. But I did check the footer padding in footer builder and it says there is none. I did also tried adding the “man” class to all elements, but that did not work either. see link below to confirm there are no paddings in footer builder.

Kind regards,

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

It’s the bar padding that is causing it,

See Video - https://www.screencast.com/t/weSfrRtjvU

I’m afraid I might me misunderstanding you or running into a technical issue. Im not seeing this padding section at all…

Hope you can help me.

Hi there,

Hmm, that’s weird. Would you mind providing your login credentials in a secure note? I like to check it too

Thanks!

Hi there yeah ofcourse. Sorry for my late response.

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the credentials I can confirm that your footer bar has no padding option, but that should not be the case. Bar should have a padding option.

This might have something to do with this:

That also is a weird one, that Pro panel should not be there, its items should be under the Pro panel above.
Would you mind renaming your Pro folder to just pro right now you named it as pro theme

http://www.brandontwerp.nl/wp-content/themes/pro%20theme/style.css

P.S. On the front-end the padding on your footer bar that we are talking above is now gone, did you do something to it?

Cheers,

Ok when I just change the name to pro in my ftp program, it breaks the whole site. When I change it back its fine. I’d love to use your suggestion of changing to “pro” but how do I fix the break down? I get an error “directory “pro theme” could not be found.” when i visit the site.

Might it also have to do with my revolution slider arrows not being adjustable? Im having several issues here.

Kind regards,

Kevin

That is weird because the correct folder name is pro when you install it. May we know why it was changed to pro theme in your site? The best solution to this though is to reinstall Pro. Please delete it from Appearance > Themes and install again. If the issue persists, please provide the steps you took installing the theme and also give us cPanel or FTP access.

It could also be the reason why Slider Revolution doesn’t work properly.

Thanks.

Hi Christian,

Alright, I’ll do that then, however, will that not break the design elements i already made in cornerstone? thanks!

Hi Kevin,

Don’t worry. It should be fine.

Regards!

Hi, I reïnstalled the theme by the name of “pro”. Sadly it didnt do the trick, although the “pro” button in the leftside wordpress menu is gone, it has not solved my footer problem nor has it solved my slider arrow problem. Luckily that problem was solved in another thread by a CSS workaround.

Any other suggestions for the footer problem? Its really quite unrefined without the padding and margin settings so I hope we can fix it!

Your setup is now correct though it didn’t fix your slider problem. The cause might be different.

For the footer, adjust the height.

If you want to adjust the padding, the Height must be set to auto

Thanks.

This has solved my problem! setting the height to auto in order to get the padding menu. Thanks so much!

Glad to hear it!
