Redirect to spam/virus site

Hi there,

A really strange thing is happening: when my colleague clicks on a link to an event page (Modern Events Calendar) on our site, they get redirected to what I think is a spam/virus site “cpmatik.com”. I don’t know how this occurred nor what to do about it. Do you have any suggestions, please?

Thanks for writing in!

Can you please ask your colleague to reset or uninstall and install again his/her browser?
Maybe the browser infected with some ad extension which is causing the issue.

Hi, turns out the site had been hacked weeks ago via a plugin called Duplicator. I’ve since had to delete and rebuild the site.

Thanks for letting us know. You might want to check out the Wordfence plugin and scan the whole site files and it should provide you some information if any files are compromised.
