Hello,
I am trying to recreate the look of the latest news on this page. http://demo.theme.co/auto/
The overlay when hovering over the post thumbnails, the lower third text etc.

Thanks for writing in! That section is created using Recent Posts shortcode which you can see examples from here (http://demo.theme.co/integrity-1/shortcodes/recent-posts/).

You can also use the recent posts element in Cornerstone to generate recent posts.
