Hi there,
Thanks for writing in! For more options, you can use our recent post shortcode and add it into a Text element. Refer to the guide here (http://demo.theme.co/integrity-1/shortcodes/recent-posts/).
Hope that helps.
Hi there,
thanks for the answer, but what i want is to load more than 4 posts… is it possible?
where should i look for? what php file can i change?
thanks
Thanks for writing in! There isn’t a file that can be edited for that shortcode as it’s not able to be overwritten via a child theme and editing core files is not something that should ever be done in a project. If you go to the reference that @mldarshana mentioend earlier, you will find a section titled Offset Posts, which explains how you can use multiple shortcodes to display more posts as needed. For example, if you wanted to display 8 recent posts, you could use the following:
[x_recent_posts count="4" orientation="horizontal"]
[x_recent_posts count="4" orientation="horizontal" offset="4"]
Notice the offset parameter of the second shortcode. This is telling the 2nd instance of the shortcode to offset the initial post it starts with by 4 spots, since the first shortcode we’re using is already outputting those 4 posts. You could continue this pattern if you needed to show 4 more by using:
[x_recent_posts count="4" orientation="horizontal"]
[x_recent_posts count="4" orientation="horizontal" offset="4"]
[x_recent_posts count="4" orientation="horizontal" offset="8"]
Again, notice how we’re just incrementing the offset to ensure that each post grouping shows up at the proper index. Hopefully this helps to point you in the right direction, cheers!
ok, perfect,
thank u for the explanation!
Glad we could help.
Cheers!
