Recent Posts Excerpt Not Displaying

Hi there,

I am currently getting some issues after updating the X themes to the latest version 9.1.4 on the staging site.

Q1) The widget that I was using to display the recent posts using shortcode
[recent_posts count=“4” orientation=“horizontal” category=“careers” no_image=“true” enable_excerpt=“true”]
does not display the excerpt. Could you please suggest what is wrong?

By default, there are no options to display the post excerpt through the classic shortcode. Please have a look at the doc to learn more about shortcode options and settings.

In case you want to display the excerpt in your post list, you may use Looper or in case you want to display the post list with an excerpt through the shortcode, it would require custom development I would suggest you please contact a developer who can assist you with your concerns or you can subscribe to One where customization questions are answered. Please note we don’t provide custom development support. It is out of the support scope.

Alternatively, if you have an idea about PHP coding please have look at this thread.
