Recent Posts Excerpt length

[nyckidd]

Hello,

I have the following in cornerstone ;

[x_recent_posts count=“3” show_excerpt=“true” category=“news”]

I also have some code in the child theme functions.php file, my question is how do i customize the length of the excerpt for the recent posts block ?

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! Did you mean whether is it possible to set the limit within your Shortcode ? If so, It could be possible with some custom development. You may consult a developer for that.

Otherwise the set limit should be there on your child theme’s functions.php file. Search for the keyword excerpt_length and see the value.

Thanks!
