How can I choose a specific tag or category to display the recent posts on a page?

Hi @ajrenk,

The category field of the Class Recent Post element takes category slugs as values. You may separate them with comma if you want to display posts from multiple categories.

Thank you, but how does this relate to the recent posts ELEMENT? That is what I have used on all the pages. Not the shortcode.

The recent post element uses the shortcode to render in the background.

The shortcode uses the same options as the element. I sent the link so that you can read the options description for reference:

Thank you! That does help. One last thing, how can we short by type of portfolio? Article, Video, Whitepaper? Would those be categories?

Hello @ajrenk,

Please be advised that the Recent Posts element only supports Posts and Portfolio. The post format such as the video, audio, standard, etc. is not supported. It will only be possible with custom development recoding the element which is beyond the scope of our support.
