Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! Please be advised that even if you are not using Cornerstone as your page builder, it must remain installed and active so that the X theme and it’s features will function correctly. I have installed it by going to X > Validation and it was automatically gets installed.

I also noticed that the Under Construction plugin is not enabled yet.

Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

yes i disabled under construction but it shows on some pages?

Hey @allan015,

I checked your page and it doesn’t look like the under construction page is taking over.

Please clear your browser cache or test in incognito mode and other browsers.

Thanks.

ok i am in incognito mode and read more is still not working cornerstone is active aswell

Hi @allan015,

May I know where should it appear? It’s a page template and read more is only possible on posts.

And when I checked your blog page, read more are there. Would you mind providing more information about the read more issue? Or please provide some procedures on how we can reproduce it in your site

Thanks!

i applied read more onto service pages also could you remove the image above it contains my website url and im not comfortable with it

Hi There,

Thanks for the video demo!

You are trying to insert read more in a content area used by the Page builder.
Unfortunately, page builder doesn’t support “Read more” tag inside the content area.
I didn’t also find a solution for that. will ask another staff member on this issue and get back to you.

Thanks

thanks i’m awaiting the solution

Hi @allan015,

It’s not gonna work, the use of the read more tag is for excerpts. Like post listing in a blog or archive pages. It looks like you’re expecting to see a read-more text within the page where you added it.

Please check this https://en.support.wordpress.com/more-tag/

Take a look on your home page (or Posts page, if you have chosen a Static Front Page) to see the excerpt of your post!

Which means you’ll only see the read more where the excerpt is displayed, like your homepage (if your home page is your blog page) or posts page (if you have custom blog index page).

Thanks!
