Re-installed my wordpress install but couldn't verify the license (same site)

Hi,

I registered the license on my site (previous Wordpress).

I am trying to verify the same license on the same site but I am receiving “we couldn’t check if this license was valid” error message.

Appreciated if you could provide me with a solution ASAP.

Regards,

Hi Riyazath,

Thank you for writing in, can you confirm that is the correct URL? I’m getting This site can’t be reached from that URL (see screenshot below)

Also, check the URL on your licenses page and see if that is correct.

Cheers!

Hi,

It does work. Please refer the below

Hi @riyazath,

Thank you for the login information. I checked the website and encountered the error below:

Failed to connect() to host or proxy.

This shows your hosting service provider block access to our domain. Please contact them and ask something like the message below:

Hello [PROVIDER],

My WordPress installation is having a hard time making outbound HTTP requests. I'm using X theme and it makes a request to community.theme.co for setting up automatic updates. Here is the error message I'm receiving: cUrl Error 7 (Failed to connect() to host or proxy.`)

Could you please do the following?

* Ensure my site can reach this domain: theme.co
* Ensure cURL is working, and allow_url_fopen is enabled.
* Ensure PHP is configured with the latest CA Root Certificates.
* Check into the error message above.

Please advise on anything you discover. Thank you

Thank you.

Hi,

I did contact with our hosting company and they have provided the following reponse:

Greetings,. You can enable cURL via php.ini file

Access it via FTP.

Also there is no restrictions on any domain access unless there is a threat.

Server and PHP version is updated and config is ok.

Please search forums for solutions.

Appreciate your kind assistance

Hey @riyazath,

I’m sorry but this issue is really with your web host. The error code being generated is cURL error 7 that’s why Christopher said your web host is blocking access to our server. There is nothing we could do with the error regretfully as it’s server related.

Please have your web host check all that are being blocked and whitelist anything related to theme.co domain. I believe the web host support knows how to do that. If not, I’d recommend you try a different web host.

Thanks.
